A gritty look at a 33-year old female boxer from the suburbs outside of Montréal. Shot on 16mm film in French with English subtitles.  Isabelle, une boxeuse de 33 ans qui habite la Rive-Sud de Montréal. Comme athlète, elle dépend de son corps, tel un engin mécanique. Son gymnase, un entrepôt froid fait de métal et de béton, est situé au coeur d’une ville de banlieue anonyme et monotone. Son corps, fait de chair et de muscles, est continuellement poussé à ses limites. 2009 – 16mm – sound – 12:25 Isabelle is a thirty-three year old female boxer from the south shore of Montreal. As an athlete, she inevitably relies on her body. The body is like a mechanical engine. Her gym, a cold building made of steel and concrete, is located in the industrial area of an anonymous and typical suburban town. Her body, made of flesh and muscles, is continually pushed to its limits.
